The Umstead hotel is located in a beautiful area, surrounded by serene grounds, which provide a relaxing ambiance. The attention to detail in the rooms, from the spacious bathrooms to the well-designed interiors, is truly impressive. The staff at the hotel are extremely friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome, offering helpful suggestions and ensuring we had a pleasant stay. Additionally, the breakfast provided was delicious, with a variety of options to choose from.

We recently had a romantic escape and were thoroughly impressed with this hotel. The elegant and peaceful setting immediately put us at ease. The superb quality of food and exceptional tea really made our afternoon delightful. , the mountain bikes and necessary equipment offered on-site gave us the opportunity to explore the beautiful park and trail surrounding the property.
Although the overall experience was great, the waitstaff could have been more attentive. We felt the coldness of our eggs in room service was a bit of a letdown.
